An optimized saline extract from Moringa seeds designed to remove microplastics from low-turbidity drinking water via in-line coagulation followed by sand filtration. Developed as a biodegradable, home-replicable alternative to aluminum sulfate for small communities and rural properties.

| Primary Mechanism | A simple salt (NaCl) solution extracts cationic coagulant proteins from Moringa seeds. When added to water, these proteins neutralize the negative surface charge of microplastics and other colloids, causing particle destabilization and aggregation into larger flocs. In an in-line filtration configuration, these flocs are captured directly by a downstream sand filter without requiring large sedimentation basins. |
