Technical Overview¶
A commercial fog collection system using a three-dimensional fine-mesh net with a stabilizing geogrid and rubber tensioners, designed to withstand winds up to 120 km/h. Deployed by the WaterFoundation in Morocco, Tanzania, and Peru to provide drinking water and irrigation for rural communities.

| Primary Mechanism | A three-dimensional fine-mesh polypropylene net (similar to Raschel) is suspended in a steel frame, backed by a geogrid for stability. Fog droplets impact and coalesce on the mesh, drip into a gutter, and are piped to storage. Rubber expanders maintain tension and act as predetermined breaking points during extreme wind events. |
