Integrated Smart Filtration & IoT Monitoring Node¶
Water Quality & Sensors • Est. CapEx: Low-cost / Locally fabricated
Technical Overview¶
A hybrid system that combines passive water filtration with an embedded IoT sensor network to create an intelligent, responsive treatment unit. It measures critical parameters—including pH, turbidity, temperature, electrical conductivity, TDS, and dissolved oxygen—directly at the filtration unit to enable real-time performance tracking.
Key Specifications & Engineering Parameters¶
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Category | Water Quality & Sensors |
| Capital Cost | Low-cost / Locally fabricated |
| Primary Mechanism | A network of electrochemical and optical sensors is embedded within and around a passive filtration media bed. Sensor data is continuously acquired and analyzed to assess both raw water quality and filtration performance, triggering alerts or control actions that transform a static filter into an actively managed treatment node. |
| Target Scale | Household / Village Cluster |
| Standard Lifespan | 10 - 20 Years |
